My name is Shane Preston and I am a sports writer for The News-Herald.

This blog's purpose is to entertain and serve as form of catharsis for ups-and-downs that come with being a sports fan.

Topics will vary from local to national sports with a little bit of real life sprinkled in from time to time.

At the very minimum, new postings will be up every Friday. Keep an eye out for thoughts, opinions and rants during the week, as well.

The blog's mood (yes, blogs have feelings, too) will go as the sports do. There will be highs and there will be lows, but we'll try to have a few laughs along the way.
